Road Safety Walk
Today P4/5 took part in the last session of Road Safety Walks. We set off around the local area wearing our high visible vest, looking out for possible hazards we may face coming to and from school. We spoke about how we should avoid those dangers as best we can and practiced crossing the road using the green cross code.
We ended the session by taking part in a road traffic survey to see how many vehicles pass us on the main road. There was much excitement when the cars started to come all at once and we even got to see a few tractors we could add to the list! Once we returned to school we were presented with certificates and reflectors to keep us safe travelling to and from school. What a great day we had!
