Ulster Transport Museum 🚞
Last Thursday the children went on a class trip to the Ulster Transport Museum. They got to learn about how transport has developed through the passing of time and view the first methods of transport. They had an opportunity to experience what travelling in style was like for those who were wealthy in ‘First Class’ when exploring some of the different trains and buses from the shops!😉. There was a very special space exhibition showing ‘Tim Peak’s’, space craft!! We even tried on the space suit which was great fun 🚀.
We were able to go to the land, sea and sky exhibition which showed some of the first methods of transport through carriages and the sedan chair which the children were very excited about seeing as they had studied this as part of their learning. We got to see the development of cars, bikes and planes. There was a plane that we could get into and strap in for a flight. To top off the day we went for a walk to the train station and got to see a real life train which just made our day! A big thank you to Mrs Quinn and Conor’s nanny for coming along with us.
