Sustrans
Emma our link officer from 'Sustrans' visited our school today to talk to us about 'Active Travel.' She visited each class and lead a really fun workshop based on her favourite means of transport 'The Bicycle'.
In Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1 classes the children found out all about the parts of the bicycle and the procedure of how to ride a bike correctly.
In Key Stage 2 classes the children discovered the history of the bicycle and different types of bicycle.
The children really enjoyed Emma's visit and are looking forward to working with Emma and Sustrans over the next three years.
The children are currently completing their Journey to Santa Challenge which is running until the 16th of December. All children are encouraged to ditch the car and complete an active journey to school.
