Road Safety Week
This week at school we focused on ‘Road Safety’.The children in P1 & P2 explored how they can keep safe when on the road, designed their own cycling helmet which they know they must wear when out and about on their bicycle. In P3 the children discussed who is a road safety hero and how they can become a road safety hero. In P4 & P5 the children discussed different rules for staying safe on the road and hazards that road users may face. The children in P6 & P7 talked about the importance of staying safe on the roads and identified whether the people in each scenario were being safe or not. They also designed their own posters to promote road safety. On Thursday we all participated in Ditch the Dark day to highlight the importance of wearing bright colours when out and about in the dark.
