Road safety: child pedestrian safety walk
20th Nov 2015
We have been learning all about road safety. Today, with the help of Margaret and Christine we practiced crossing the road. We wore high viz jackets so drivers could see us. We learnt to:
1: Find a safe place to cross
2: Stand on the footpath away from the kerb.
3: Look right ,left and right again
4: Listen for traffic
5: Cross carefully continuing to look both ways.
We then learnt about crossing at toucan traffic light crossings and pelican crossings.
We got presented with a water bottle and our Step out with Scooter Stage 1 certificate.
