Regular and Irregular shapes in P5 & P6
Today the children in P5 & P6 explored regular and irregular shapes as part of World Maths Day. THey went outside to our area to take part in a shape hunt by identifying the shapes from the clues given. They then got to check if their answer was correct by scanning the QR code. They explored regular and irregular shape by playing games of snap and then sorted the shapes into different criteria. Finally they created their own shapes on the Geoboard app on the interactive whiteboard where the rest of the class had to name the shape made and decide if it was a regular or irregular shape. The children had great fun learning about their shapes and are all experts in regular and irregular shapes!
