Measuring

The children took part in lots of practical activities involving measuring the length of items. Firstly they had to make estimates of what they thought would be longer or shorter than half a metre and quarter of a metre then they used their metre strips to find out if they were correct. Then they had to estimate the exact length of objects and use appropriate measuring utensils to measure the true length. They really enjoyed this activity especially when they got to measure their height!
