Learning Through Play
Our final topic this year is holidays. After discussing the different types of holidays we go on, we decided to create a campsite role play area in the classroom. The children had great fun toasting marshmallows, sleeping outside and catching up with friends at the fireside. Our water tray was transformed into a rock pool and the children explored to see what sea creatures they could find. The small world play was an airport, thankfully all passengers boarded quickly and there were no cancellations. Using the building shapes the children problem solved to create a holiday den. Whilst down in the farm, the animals were sorted and organised into their fields.
