Activity Based Learning
The children dressed up in their camouflage clothing and got their binoculars ready for a spot of bird watching in Primary Three and Four this term. They made a list of what birds they saw.👀
The weather seemed to be keeping the birds away, so the children decided that they would make some bird food to encourage the birds to pay a visit to the playground. What a messy job!
Our own scientists got creative and decided to have a go at the STEM challenge of making a birds nest. This was a tricky job!!!!
To develop their thinking skills and personal capabilities, the children worked as a team, to play the game angry birds.
The children got out the scales to find objects that were heavier or lighter than a robin. Did you know that a robin weighs the same as a one pound coin?
We are so excited for our visit to Castle Espie this week who knows what we might see through our binoculars!!!
