Activity Based Learning 'Space'
During their activity based learning the children in P3/4 further developed their knowledge about Space. They really enjoyed exploring life on board St Mary's Rocket orbiting around the galaxy. They stopped off for a visit on the Moon and interviewed the Baboon on the Moon. They helped the Baboon to make an important life changing decision and created some posters to advertise an exciting new job opportunity based on the Moon. The exploring astronauts on their return to Earth painted pictures of the various life forms they discovered whilst on their space journey. In their small world play area they acted out different scenarios that took place aboard the space station. In the construction area the children were being creative and made a variety of transport vehicles to journey around the moon. As part of their home learning they created their own Space related model. The children explored a range of ICT programmes to show their learning about Space.
The children learnt a lot about Space, the Planets and astronauts. Maybe one day they may follow in the steps of Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin🚀 🚀 🌠🌠👽 👽
