Division!

This week the children have been learning how to divide using practical materials. They were using the concept of sharing and shared practical materials to help work out the answers to the questions. They were able to see how many items they needed and how to share them equally within the groups. Next they went onto using the grouping method, instead of using practical materials they created and drew the groups themselves! They had great fun during this and they were able to make the link to multiplication! Miss O'Riordan was very impressed that the children knew the times table sum that matched the division!! 😀
